IMHO, GENERIC should contain only those devices and options that are required to get FreeBSD booted on new hardware. VIMAGE and MROUTING aren't needed, and can be configured by the user after installation. As for VPS, AFAICT, there isn't an option/device named VPS; at least 'find /sys/ -type f | xargs grep VPS' wasn't too enlightening. -- Steve
