Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Sender: questions-owner@freebsd.org Precedence: bulk Hi, I have a problem with my cdrom when I endeavour to mount the cdrom I get the 'device not configured' message. I read the FAQ - there is a cdrom in the drive. :-) The cdrom hangs off a soundblaster 16. The kernel detects the card is present (probe & attach work fine) however it doesn't show up in an 'lsdev' ??? (Should it ?) /var/log/messages short extract matcd0 at 0x230-0x233 irq 10 on isa matcd0: ['0xff0xff0xff0xff0xff0xff0xff0xff0xff'] matcd1: ['0xff0xff0xff0xff0xff0xff0xff0xff0xff'] ... similarly for matcd2 & matcd3. Any suggestions ? Thanks Richard Uren ruren@enterprise.powerup.com.au
