disable "lqr" prevented my PPP connections from dropping.

so i assume Line Quality Request is what the "echo" relates to,
a check to see if the carrier is still up when there is a 
pause in reception.

i wish the PPP docs described all the options.  i couldn't
find out what was "enable-able" or not.
