I submitted a PR for an upgrade to 1.2.12 about a week ago:
http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=103426

but the maintainer hasn't responded as yet.

I have the same update with trivial changes (update the source name, codec
patch name, and corresponding checksums) working locally with 1.2.12.1 but
haven't yet submitted it as an updated/new PR.
