If zp0 is enabled, pcic0 compiled into the kernel and the card in the slot, it hangs during bootup after saying 'Enable PC-card.Doing initial network setup: hostname.' If the card is hot-plugged later, it says 'pccardd[45]: driver allocation failed for 3Com Corporation'. If I leave out zp0 completely I get the same result as when hot-plugging. Other pcmcia cards work ok. I tried every combination of pccard options in the kernel that i could imagine. I also tried to change /etc/pccard.conf to use zp0 instead of ep0 for this card or leave this card allone. I tried to compile without pcic0. I also tried the generic PCMCIA kernel. The laptop is a Toshiba Tecra 730CDT. >How-To-Repeat: reboot or re-insert the card. >Fix: Leave card0 out when compiling the kernel. But then all other pcmcia card doesn't work anymore... (Adaptec SlimSCSI) ->2 Kernels: one with support for the Ethernet card, and one for the rest. >Audit-Trail: >Unformatted: To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-bugs" in the body of the message
