It's a Creative Sound Blaster Audio PCI and should work according to the pcm manpage, but after adding `device pcm` to my kernel configuration and recompiling it and then reboot and type `cat \dev\sndstat` I get the message `device not configured`. I have checked the kernel configuration several times and don't see any mistake. What do I do wrong?
