Can you install the patch nevertheless? I have already contacted the Wine folks to discuss a fix, and without my patch the Wine port is still incomplete (while the feature to use it as an API does not work without that very patch at all as well: Not even the include files are installed without it). I'll then take care of the SOVERSION issue, one way or the other...
