Does anyone know how to in a FreeBSD Makefile get the date and store it in a variable. i.e. Makefile: #!/bin/sh CPP = g++ CPPFLAGS = -Wall -O3 -I$(INC1) NAME = test OBJS = test.o DATE = ##### targets: date: $(DATE) = date all: $(CPP) $(CPPFLAGS) -o $(NAME)_$(DATE) $(OBJS) ### endof file Thanks in advace Philip ***************************************************************************** Philip M.
