Hello, again :) It's just got even more weird. Actually I was quick on a reply button. It still does not work. Well ... After reboot I can type =E9 chars and see them at login prompt, but as soon= as I get the shell prompt I can't do so any more! (my shell is csh and TER= M=3Dxterm). So I removed altogether ~/.login_conf (I though may be I've messed somethin= g with my :charset=3DUTF-8:), but still the same result: I can type '=E9' = on login: but not after. Any ideas? It's super weird. ________________________________________ From: owner-freebsd-questions@freebsd.org <owner-freebsd-questions@freebsd.= org> on behalf of Steve O'Hara-Smith <steve@sohara.org> Sent: Monday, December 11, 2017 9:03:25 PM To: freebsd-questions@freebsd.org Subject: Re: vt(4) iso-8859-1 latin accentuated characters do not show on c= onsole On Mon, 11 Dec 2017 20:48:38 +0000 Vitalio D <v.dol_s@hotmail.com> wrote: > Steve, yes the handbook I was trying to read is fr_FR.ISO8859-1.
