You should be able to type "gs" and get ghostscript up and running. Fr= om=20 there you should be able to print manually using the driver you want. You= =20 don't need a printer attached for the "gs" command to work.=20 I installed the no-X11 version of ghostscript so I don't get the error ab= out=20 X-11 any more. What I get is an error saying that it can't start initial=20 device.=20 2. My Samsung ML-4500 connects through the parallel port. I know it's=20 connected because the light flashes a few times when I try to print somet= hing=20 but nothing gets printed.=20 I wish I could tell you more but I'm in the process of reinstalling FreeB= SD=20 4.6.
