Thanks for the tip. I just noticed that nmapfe got built and installed
correctly even though one of the configure scripts for nmapfe didn't
find gtk-config and kept warning that the X11 frontend would not be
built, etc., etc.
Despite these warning messages, nmapfe got built and is working fine.
Go figure!
