I tried lowering the MTU to as low as 400 and it didn't help and I've tried everything without IPFilter/IPFW compiled to kernel. Two weeks ago I tried the box again in a different environment and everything was working ok so theres something fuzzy going on in the original environment. I'll have to dig on the details later on when I have the time for it.
