After digging in a bit more, I found that the NetBSD port was designed for use with ugen - that's why the ioctls wouldn't work. The NetBSD port worked fine after removing the ufm driver. Warner's little program works fine also, after compiling in the ufm device driver. ========================================================== = Bryan D.
