After I did a complete shut down of the system, with the instruction 'shutdown', the server does not recognize the password anymore. I'm completely locked out! Here's what it's look like: Login: root s/key 98 fr82189 Password: (turning echo on) Password: acct25 Login incorrect Is there a procedure where I could give a new password or recover the old?
