Hi

I was trying to install FreeBSD 3.1 on a system with an Adaptec AHA-1540
SCSI controller. During boot from the boot floppies I get the following
message being displayed 7 times:

aha0: AHA-1540A detected, compensating

Then the system freezes.
FreeBSD 2.2.2 was running on the same system without any problem.

Does anybody have an idea what the problem could be?

Thanks a lot
Ludger
