I tried to reproduce the error thinking that it might have been related to the hcsecd.conf but it seems it was not. Thinking of what I tried (even reinstalling Vmware) maybe the problem was related to its USB emulation. Now everything works fine on it...but I'm having problems after moving the USB bluetooth dongle to the real machine it was meant to (a pure FreeBSD one this time). I've started a new thread on this...maybe if you have the time you could give me some points as to what is not going right with it.
