Hi Fabian, I cannot relate, as I tried running 4.x briefly ,but had to give up due to lack of time...then I took up again on 6.0 with a toshiba + APM. I think I had , at least, as many lock ups as with this thinkpad + ACPI.... have you tested with hw.syscons.sc_no_suspend_vtswitch in /etc/sysctl.conf. I needed it for the Toshiba, but not on the thinkpad..... from my file: ----------------------- # Should prevent freezing in X when doing suspend ## for TOSHIBA A2, NOT THINKPAD ## hw.syscons.sc_no_suspend_vtswitch=1 ---------------------- Now, if I could only use the full power (or at least MORE of ) the ATI Radeon M24 (128 MB onboard) that comes with this laptop.... it just locks ups (on gdm startup) when enabling DRI... I'll write on that soon :) cheers, B _________________________ {Beto|Norberto|Numard} Meijome UFOs are for real: the Air Force doesn't exist. I speak for myself, not my employer. Contents may be hot.
