Paul, The best book I found about DNS: DNS and BIND Paul Albitz & Cricket Liu O´Reilly & Associates, Inc. ISBN: 1-56592-236-0 It´s not FreeBSD specific. You may take a look at http://www.freebsd.org/handbook , too.
