Hi, I've noticed a problem, perhaps only in FreeBSD 4.0 because ever since i've upgraded this has been happening and never in 4.0. What happens is, sometimes when I run "skill -9 username" the machine seems to lockup. Since I run it remotly the only thing I can do is remote reboot it threw my system. Today for example: [root@web] [~]# ps U ahtary PID TT STAT TIME COMMAND 45268 p0 Is 0:00.04 -bash (bash) 49033 p0 I+ 0:00.04 mutt 49047 p0 I+ 0:00.00 sh -c pico '/usr/home/ahtary/tmp/mutt-web-49033-0' 49048 p0 I+ 0:00.13 pico /usr/home/ahtary/tmp/mutt-web-49033-0 [root@web] [~]# skill -9 ahtary Then it just froze.. nothing in /var/log/messages after it came back.. You guys know how to fix this or why it happens?
