Hello Roman, Monday, July 15, 2002, 11:10:15 AM, you wrote: >> After successful install 4.5 from CD I have Xwrapper executable under >> /usr/X11R6/bin/ directory. While trying to run startx script by ordinary user i've got an error message: xf86OpenConsole: Server must be running with root permissions. You should be using Xwrapper to start the server or xdm. we strongly advise against making the server SUID root! ---------------------------------------------- Alexander Volchenkov | volax@uh.ru UH.RU system administrator. | http://uh.ru ---------------------------------------------- () ASCII RIBBON CAMPAIGN /\ AGAINST HTML EMAIL & VCARDS ---------------------------------------------- To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
