I definitely ran my copy on the KayPro2, which was a decidedly CP/M machine. The TRS-80 model I was Z80 based, meaning that it was also a CP/M machine. The SWTP 6800 (South West Technical Products S100-based machine) where I wrote my first BASIC program (using front panel switches to key in the bootstrap, before hand-cranking the patched paper tape copy of the language) wasn't CP/M, though... but then, that *was* 1976. 8^). To think... you could get an 8K expansion card from A-VIDD for only $350.00 back then, fully assembled! 8^) 8^). ...but I digress. 8^p. VisiCalc was first released on the Apple ][ in 1979. If you want a copy for your PC, it's 27K, and can be downloaded from Dan Bricklin's home page: http://www.bricklin.com/history/vcexecutable.htm FWIW: The reasons VisiCalc was never patented is that software patents have only been around since 1981. 8^) 8^). -- Terry To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-chat" in the body of the message
