I think I see where things are going awry. I'm able to bring up Mozilla 1.1 without a problem on your machine.=20 Phoenix, however, dies right after the plugin failure. I did a ktrace on it, and found it was segfaulting trying to load the Type 1 fonts.=20 I'm betting if you remove Xft support from Phoenix, then rebuild, you'll be set. However, if you want anti-aliased font support, try removing all the X11 font packages, then clean out /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts.=20 Afterward, reinstall all the X11 font packages, and see if Phoenix revives. If it does, start adding back the fonts you want one at a time until you find the bad one. =20 I've seen problems like this when users upgrade from XFree86 4.x to 4.2. Usually a thorough cleaning of the fonts fixes it. Let me know how it goes.
