To this end I've implemented another feature, 'N' for newsyslog. When the file size limit is reached, newsyslog is run with the=20 log filename as the only argument. The size limitation in syslog.conf and newsyslog.conf should agree or you won't get what you expect. Does this seem reasonable? Can anyone suggest a better syntax that is in keeping with the=20 current syslog.conf? I am *not* going to replace the syslog.conf=20 with a different format, only extend it to encompass this simple=20 functionality.
