Do you mean that the (large) letters have jaggies in them ? That's usually
the symptom that you don't have a scalable version for that font (happens
most often for TimesNewRoman, as this font comes only with a few bitmap
fonts).
To solce this, you need a scalable version of that font (PostScript
Type-1). If you have a copy of ATM around, than you can use the font that
comes with it.
