I can't get FreeBSD's nroff -man to print bold dashes at all; .B -- .B \-\- .B \&-\&- .B \& -- all produce nothing. (and all produce "--" or " --" using 4.2 nroff -man). However, .Fl - .Fl \- .Fl \&- all produce "--" . Bill
