Thats a GeForce2 card - it should work fine using the "nv" driver, like 
someone else stated - did you run xf86config? This sounds like a monitor 
issue to me, the GeForce should work fine. Go to the website of your 
monitor's manufacturer (or look in the product literature if you ave it) 
and find out what the proper horizontal and vertical sync rates are and 
enter them in when prompted by xf86config.
