--d6Gm4EdcadzBjdND Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Disposition: inline Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable FYI, I just installed FreeBSD 5.0 RC2 on my machine and decided to prepare it for kernel dumps according to Michael Lucas' instructions at: http://www.onlamp.com/pub/a/bsd/2002/03/21/Big_Scary_Daemons.html Basically I installed 5.0 RC2, modified the kernel configuration to enable INVARIANTS, DDB and remove the things I didn't need (SCSI, some network drivers, etc). Once the new kernel was installed I rebooted my computer. After the computer rebooted successfully I pressed Ctrl-Alt-Del which resulted in the following panic: Uptime 19s Terminate ACPI panic: free: address 0xc043dd10(0xc043d000) has not been allocated Below you'll find the output from: gdb -k kernel.debug.0 vmcore.0 (kgdb) where kernel.debug.0, vmcore.0, kernel config are available on request as nothing important was configured on the box as I just had installed 5.0 RC2.
