So I had to rebuild that library before doing step (3) again. Also, `pkg check -dnav' will still report packages which have an indirect dependency on libiconv. This is harmless, but I don't know how to get rid of this annoyance without rebuilding those ports as well (it would be nice to have more ways to hack the package database than what `pkg set' currently provides).
