What does your firewall rules look like...i am running sumantec liveupdate
with the exact same scenario and having no problems, but, my firewall rules
are allowing tcp setup connections. Are you denying any particular ports?

I am using NAT/IPFW setup. My NT box sitting behind the gateway with a
private address.

As far as my setup, I don't have to do anything special to make
liveupdate works. One thing I can think of is that I am using passive
ftp mode transfer in the liveupdate setup screen.

I hope this help.
