When I run mc it hangs. The only way to kill it is to execute "killall mc" from another console. Since CPU utilization is pretty high when mc is "hung", I think something is looping. If I roll back to mc-4.5.54_2, it works fine, so it is not kernel-related. I ran mc under truss trying to figure out what it is doing.
