Help please, I've been trying to get an http server running on my FreeBSD3.1 system all day. I see that there are numerous process running as /usr/local/sbin/httpd and some instruction I have say that I should be able to send a command lynx http://localhost/test.php3 which I take to mean : lynx http://dgriffin.org/test.php3 and see an http file in the browser. That don't happen. Instead I get the message Making HTTP connection to dgriffin.org then Alert!: Unable to connect to remote host and then Lynx: Can't access startfile http://dgriffin.org/test.php3 I suspect that things are working, but I'm not using the correct path or something equally dumb. any help available tonight?
