If it's a 2501, then I presume that both high speed serial ports are used for the T1's. There are a couple of 25xx boxes that have four serial ports, two high speed, and two high speed sync/med speed async. If it's a 2501, then using a routing protocol to distribute routing information might be a good idea. I'd choose OSPF over RIP, however.
