what is really bad in SSD is that they are not flash chips interfaced to computer (so flash-designed filesystem could be written) but complex hard drive emulators. But this way they could sell this to windows users. > > https://lwn.net/Articles/428584/ seems like i have it right. i use noatime ALWAYS no matter if it is real disk or emulated in flash memory.
