If I buy a motherboard with the VT82C590 Apollo VP2/97 chipset, will I be able to use those fancy DMA and UDMA transfer modes with FreeBSD(3.0)? http://www.via.com.tw/vp-2.htm The motherboard in question is FIC PA-2007, which seems to be a very good buy.
