"Full screen applications on remote machines misbehave" It gives you a few options that might be more palatable, or at least quicker to implement. If you need how-to advice, we don't do support questions and answers on freebsd-newbies, it's just for chat (see the list charters). If you write to freebsd-questions instead, they'll give you reliable advice.
