There was an issue with some CD-ROM drives not working unless they were
in DMA mode.  There's a sysctl to do that, but I can't recall it
exactly.  A search through the archives or in the 4.6-Release Errata
section (or on Google) should help.

No /tmp?  Or did you just put it in /usr/tmp?
