Hi, I just wanted to say that I just recently installed an SMP system and
it went smoothly. I have an old Tyan Tomcat II with 2x120s overclocked to
133 and 64MB of RAM. The system has a Seagate EIDE disk (not money for
SCSI yet), and I can see a noticeable imporvement in speed with both CPUs
active!! Kernel compiles went from 436 seconds to 260 seconds with make
-j 16. Also, the SMP_AUTOSTART stuff works like a charm! I have been
trying to beat my system into the ground, but to no avail. Running kernel
compiles with intense X stuff, ping's -f, and doing remote xanim displays
of 7MB avi's doesnt even do it! Thanks to all who have made this possible,
it's really great!
