You need to understand more about how FreeBSD works.

FreeBSD (at least the ports part) is done solely by volunteers.
What you've done, in this PR, is to assume that each of the two
maintainers knows about these updates.  But, you haven't even
made sure that each of them knows about it (if you have, there
is no Cc: line in the original mail to leave a clue).

The most effective sequence is this: send email to each maintainer
asking them if they know about the update.  If you get no reply,
post a PR (most effective if it contains a patch to do the update)
to GNATS and Cc: the maintainers so that we can track whether or
not they respond within our 2-week guideline.
