I just got FreeBSD 2.2.5 3 days ago. It's my first time having unix on my PC. I have had a unix shell account with my ISP for a few months, so i know how to use it, but I know nothing about being a sys admin. My modem is Plug and Play, left over from my windows 95 days <8?). Is there something special I have to do for plug and play detection to be active on my BSD box? I almost think that my modem is lp0, but I really have no idea. I just need a whole lot of help. BTW, please don't reply with a message like "why don't you just check the docs u idiot???" because I've looked around and i haven't been able to find stuff. If you tell me which docs to check, I would appreciate it. Thanks, Ben To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
