Whatever the problem with my other card (ste) is, I don't know, but I'll let it drop because the line's good now and there's no packet loss. I'm mystified why it would just up and start causing trouble and giving the error mentioned in the subject. Still, if a cheap old card will fix it, that's good enough for me.
