Hello,
A coolegue of mine and I have managed to install a working version
of FreeBSD 2.1.0 on his Pentium 100 system and have recompiled his
kernel to support his Sony 2x CD-ROM CDU55E/1.0u. The kernel
detects it (as the included device probe message shows) and
he is able to mount the device at mount point /cdrom. However,
copying files from the CDROM causes the keyboard/system to lock
and an unclean reboot to be necessary. We were wondering if
this is a documented bug with this CDROM. If so, is there a
fix which is compatible with the FreeBSD 2.1.0 kernel sources?
Also, there is an interesting message in the device probe and we
wonder if it's related.

Does it shed light on the problem and/or suggest a fix?
Thank you,
J. Metcalf
