My observations are based on compaing kernel SCSI output compared with what I see using NetBSD 1.2G (which doesn't barf all over the screen): sd0 at scsibus0 targ 4 lun 0: SCSI2 0/direct removable sd0: drive offline sd1 at scsibus0 targ 6 lun 0: SCSI2 0/direct removable sd1: drive offline Neither are Linux or Solaris as loud about them as FreeBSD.
