I don't know why it hasn't yet been integrated. Being beta is not an explanation. The whole MBone is beta. :) Maybe you need the SNMP version of mrouted. I'm sorry, but 3.9 does not have snmp. I would love to monitor the tunnels' traffic, but life isn't that easy.
