Works fine ! I'm using the file louie.udel.edu:/pub/ntp/doc/clock.txt to know the location of NTP servers. In this file, the version of the servers is not indicated. I do not know exactly why it is necessary to put this option -o 2 and it works ! When I type man ntpdate, it says that ntpdate, by default, claims to be an NTP version 2 server, but on my machine the default command ntpdate bitsy.mit.edu, without the option -o 2, did not work actually. Thanks for your precious experience, Gordon.
