>Description:
I have a Sun Ultra 5 in use as a low-capacity data server. This unit has been running 9.0-RC1 with a custom kernel quite nicely since RC1 became available.

This unit is able to boot RC1 custom and GENERIC kernels with no problem. In an attempt to upgrade to 9.0-RELEASE, I downloaded the kernel tarball via FTP, and unpacked it to the usual place, making sure to keep the RC1 kernel as kernel.old

However, upon a reboot, the boot loader loads the 9.0-RELEASE GENERIC kernel, but immediately after "jumping to kernel entry", errors back to firmware with the message "Fast data access MMU miss".

I've attempted to boot the 9.0-RELEASE GENERIC kernel, and a build from source using my custom config from RC1. Both fail with the MMU miss error. For good measure, I even tried using /boot/loader from 9.0-RELEASE. No go. The error is consistent every time a 9.0-RELEASE kernel is tried. RC1 still boots and runs normally.

Unit contains:
 - 256MB RAM, factory original
 - 8.0GB IDE HD containing root partition on primary master channel
 - 80GB IDE HD containing /usr, on secondary master
 - CD-RW drive, on secondary slave
 - 400MHz UltraSPARC IIi

dmesg from successfully-booting RC1 custom kernel: http://pastebin.com/N3NVfumc
