I'm not that knowledgeable with pear yet, but I think it should be possible to use pear without Apache. Also, pear seems to be only used for the web front end, which isn't necessary at all for a working TB installation (as you said). Steve Wills sent my a mail today and also suggested to get rid of the Apache dependency, or better, to create perhaps two ports, the real tinderbox (tc, tinderbuild, tinderd), and the tinderbox-web (www-exp directory, Apache dependency etc). I really would like to try this road. Another thing I'd really like to work on is improving both the port installation instructions, as well as tinderbox documentation.=20 That implies installing the manpages to the correct locations, etc. Regards, Andreas PS: I'm going to work on these parts as soon as I finish my bachelor's thesis (12 days from now). :) --=-e1H6IzAxCcxhDvj5ieh2 Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name=signature.asc Content-Description: This is a digitally signed message part -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.2 (FreeBSD) iD8DBQBEHHLxYucd7Ow1ygwRAtEfAKCBZzZT52H7olI4Vs9PDQuQYnUiUgCgiarZ YcI0wNhMolHBkgHH4x/g2sU= =14dr -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --=-e1H6IzAxCcxhDvj5ieh2--
