There's code in 2.2 that handles this. Btw., people might remember that i've once asked about some complaints GateD spits onto the console of our modem server whenever somebody logs in via PPP. Now that i've finally got 'round yesterday to DTRT and subnet our IP address space, my PPP peers are no longer inside the ether address range, and i could throw the d*mn proxyARP hackery overboards... Needless to say, GateD no longer complains!
