Some ISPs will reject DNS requests from non-subscribers.

When I had two accounts, I had a ``setdns'' script which is called
from the relevant profiles in ppp.conf. I did this because I have a
local DNS with a ``forwarder'' to the relevant ISP DNS.

Alternatively, with the latest ppp, you can try using ``enable dns''
in your ppp.conf file. If your ISPs will tell you what their
nameserver IPs are automatically, ppp will update /etc/resolv.conf
for you.

You can get the latest ppp via
