Hi, Recently I bought Sony Vaio Z505/BP and install -current. It is Celeron 600, 192M RAM, 15G HDD. - Make partition using fips. - Installation from DOS partition(bin), no problem. - Upgrade from source, and install many ports including XFree86-4, gnome, some Korean ports. - Sound, Yamaha DS-1E (YMF744), works but I had to set 'PnP OS : NO' in BIOS. If I set it to YES, chipset is probed but sound doesn't works. pcm0: play interrupt timeout, channel dead The problem is, when I set it to NO, Windows ME doesn't boot :> I had to change it to 'YES' to boot Windows ME(Japanese). It might be not a problem, because I am running Windows in VMware. - Network, Intel 82559, work prefectly. - Video, ATI Rage Pro LT(8M), works good in XFree86-4.0.3. - I can mount Sony Memory Stick after camcontrol rescan. - PC-card doesn't work when I set 'PnP OS: NO'. It hangs. So I can't use Sound and PC-card(I tested it with Kingmax Network card) both. I don't know why. So, I have a question: - Can I use Jogdial? There is spic driver but I don't know how can I use..., FYI, there is Linux driver. http://www.alcove-labs.org/en/software/sonypi/ - Internal Modem works? It seems to be Winmodem... -- +++ Any opinions in this posting are my own and not those of my employers +++ CHOI Junho [sleeping now] <http://www.kr.FreeBSD.org/~cjh> [while sleeping] <cjh @ kr.FreeBSD.ORG> <cjh @ FreeBSD.ORG> <cjh @ wdb.co.kr> Korea FreeBSD Users Group <www.kr.FreeBSD.org> Web Data Bank<www.wdb.co.kr> To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-mobile" in the body of the message
