I am in fact using such a cable, and I have already purchased another cable and tried it just to check that the fault was not in the cable. The excat error message is from the kernel is : ata0-master: DMA limited to UDMA33, non-ATA66 compliant cable What could be causing this, and how can I fix it? Is there a kernel option of something I need to have setup? A sysctl option? What does ata66 require in FreeBSD? uname and dmesg below.
